The imposing renaissance setting of Palazzo Moroni in the heart of Padua provided the backdrop to the IB Diploma Visual Arts students on 30 and 31st March 2017.
Viewing the paintings and photographs in such splendid surroundings was the culmination of a two year personal, creative and technical journey in which nascent ideas evolved into an exploration and expression of the students’ personal, cultural and artistic contexts under the expert eye of their teacher Ms. Christina Georgiou.
At the opening of the exhibition, Ms. Rosella Gilli, the School Director, spoke about how important this exhibition was to the students, because it was a reflection of their personal as well as their artistic development and also it was the culmination of all their commitment and perseverance. Ms. Gilli also noted how events such as this give us all an opportunity to celebrate the talent within the school.
Renowned artist Mr. Massagrande congratulated the students and remarked how appropriate the venue was for this special day as it was so fundamental in the artistic life of Padua over the centuries.
