Italian Week

Italian Week

The Nursery and Primary Schools celebrated the “Unification Day” on March 17th.

During Italian lessons, the children had the opportunity to learn more about the nation, including the meaning of the flag. The theme for the week was "Knowing Famous People," and each class focused on a special person in a specific area of excellence.

For example, Reception class learned about children's authors such as Collodi, Rodari, and Altan, while Year 1 studied painters like Giotto, Raffaello, and Modigliani. Year 2 explored sculptures by Michelangelo, Donatello, and Canova and Year 3 delved into fashion designers such as Armani, Missoni, and Valentino.
Year 4 focused on explorers like Vespucci, Marco Polo, and Magellano, and Year 5 learned about scientists including Rita Levi Montalcini, Renato Dulbecco, and Galileo Galilei.
At the end of the week, an exhibition was held in the assembly room where all the art and crafts created by each class were displayed for everyone to see, including parents and other classes.
